Now Hiring- Web Master/Manager
Wilderness Exchange Unlimited, Denver’s premier independent outdoor specialty shop and online retailer, is now hiring a Full Time Web Master/ Manager. Our website is our most important marketing tool and the fastest growing segment of our business. We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated individual to help us take our online business to the next level.
The main responsibilities of this position include:
1) Writing product copy, managing and creating product images, creating banner art, and writing fresh and exciting content for the site consistent with our branding.
2) Fulfilling customer service functions and inquiries. Working with shipping/ receiving manager on product input and logistics.
3) Our POS, receiving, and web platforms are all intrinsically tied together. This position does require the ability to work “hands-on” and multi-task and includes web shipping and order fulfillment responsibilities.
4) Spearheading new and creative ways to market and optimize the website through SEO channels such as blogging, product reviews, Ad words, Facebook, directory submissions, and utilizing all other social and business networking channels available.
Candidates must have a proven track record in the following skills sets:
-Excellent Website design skills and experience and complete proficiency in Adobe CS3-In-depth knowledge of SEO marketing, Google, ad words, and web analytics and the ability to grasp the ever-changing trends that relate to SEO.
-Strong graphic design skills -Solid technical background with proven experience in HTML
-Ability to quickly generate product descriptions, specifications, feature sets, and images.
- Impeccable spelling and grammar skills and the ability to write descriptive and flawless copy.
-Experience creating logos
-Ability to solve problems and self-teach new technologies
-Effective planning, organizing, prioritizing, and time management is essential.
Additionally, the candidate must have in-depth product knowledge of climbing, mountaineering, backcountry skiing, camping and backpacking and all products used in these activities.
