We just received a replenishment of some of our best selling and most sought after items from BD.
Here is what came in this shipment:
-C4s & C3s – C4s are by far the most popular camming devices on the market. There is a reason for this: they are simply the best. Nothing else out there produces quite the same warm and fuzzy feeling as these puppies, except for maybe a basket full of real puppies. The big difference between C4s and cute little puppies it that you cannot protect a leader fall with a real puppy, trust me, I’ve tried; it was horrible. C3s on the other hand do not have quite the same market domination. People get so fickle about micro-cams (I’m an Alien guy myself), but there is no denying that these slender and sultry little units can offer bomber protection where thicker and more homely units will never fit (pin scars).
-Black Diamond Raven mountain axe (60cm) - Take a picture of yourself holding this axe with a set of twin-ropes coiled over your shoulder. Then put the picture on Facebook and people will think you’re cool.
-Black Diamond WIZ KID Harness – This is the best kids harness on the market. It has been updated for 2009 with some beefier gear-loops and a speed lock buckle. I think the beefed up gear-loops are a great idea – Kids are fatter than ever these days and they need to carry their weight. I’m not so sure about the Speed lock buckle – learning to double-back should be one of those things that every American child learns to do, like riding a bike, cleaning a fish and lying to their parents.
-Black Diamond VARIO CHEST Harness – I want to wear one of these the next time I’m working on one of my sick projects (in the gym).
-Black Diamond ALPINE BOD Harness
-Black Diamond ATC Belay Device – I’m glad that we finally started carrying these. They are the best standard bucket-style belay device out there (IMHO)
-Black Diamond ATC GUIDE Belay Device - not as good as the Reverso 3 (says me)
-Black Diamond MICRO STOPPER (if you’re climbing above one of these doodads, you may want to rethink you priorities in life)
-Nut toolzz!! - Also works as a eating utensil!!
-Black Diamond ROTOR (good for hauling)
-Black Diamond GIZMO & SPOT Headlamps – Both awesome headlamps. The Spot is perfect for night climbing
